We must here give a short space to some
tribes called by various names, such as
Haraforas, Alfouras, and Alfoërs, and sup-
posed by many ethnologists to be a sepa-
rate family living in New Guinea and the
neighboring islands, but as distinct from
the generality of the inhabitants as the
Bosjesman of Southern Africa are from the
Kaffir.
