Etnis Tionghoa di Rusia secara resmi berjumlah 34.578 menurut sensus 2002.[1] Namun, angka tersebut diperdebatkan. Komisi Urusan Tionghoa Perantauan Republik China di Taiwan mengklaim bahwa jumlahnya adalah 998.000 pada 2004 dan 2005, sementara ahli demografi Rusia umumnya memperkirakan terdapat 200.000–400.000 orang pada 2004.[2][3]
