Penamaan

Dalam penamaan artikel ini, saya lebih sepakat bila dinamai dengan "Owada Masako", Meski secara resmi dia sudah menanggalkan nama keluarganya. Beberapa alasannya:

• Untuk keselarasan dengan artikel lain, seperti permaisuri sebelumnya juga dinamai dengan nama gadisnya: Shōda Michiko.
• Penamaan ulang dan pemberian gelar bagi perempuan yang menikah dengan keluarga istana dalam beberapa kasus memang terlihat ribet, terlebih bila gelar yang bersangkutan tidak ada padanan tepatnya dalam bahasa Indonesia, seperti Catherine Middleton yang bergelar "Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge". Ini belum termasuk jika kedudukan mereka dalam keluarga istana berubah, maka gelar mereka juga ikut berubah. Seperti Michiko. Setelah suaminya turun takhta, dia bukan lagi permaisuri (kogo), tetapi purna-permaisuri (jokogo). Gelar ini kemungkinan akan berubah lagi jika Akihito wafat lebih dulu, maka Michiko akan menjadi ibu suri (kotaigo). Demi menghindari keribetan yang tidak perlu, lebih baik judul artikel mereka diseragamkan dengan menggunakan nama gadis mereka. Keterangan mengenai rincian dan makna gelar yang mereka sandang lebih baik dijelaskan di badan artikel saja.
• Meski secara resmi tidak lagi menyandang marga dari keluarga asalnya, penggunaan nama marga gadisnya dalam judul artikel dianggap sebagai keterangan mengenai asalnya. Fungsinya seperti "of <nama tempat>" di artikel2 mengenai tokoh2 Barat. Hal ini diperlukan demi menghindari kemungkinan adanya tokoh lain dengan nama pribadi yang sama.
