William Desmond (23 Januari 1878 – 3 November 1949) adalah aktor kelahiran Irlandia berkebangsaan Amerika Serikat. Dia tampil dalam 205 film antara tahun 1915 sampai dengan tahun 1948. Nama panggilannya adalah "The King of the Silent Serials."

Lahir dengan nama William Mannion di Dublin, Ireland, dia tumbuh besar di New York City. Kemudian dia mengganti nama aslinya menjadi nama panggung. Dia mengawali kiprahnya di vaudeville dan mantap di dunia teater sebelum mengawali debutnya di kancan perfilman. Tahun 1919 dia menikah dengan bintang Mary McIvor.
