Alonzo Hereford Cushing (19 Januari 1841 – 3 Juli 1863) adalah seorang perwira artileri dalam Union Army pada Perang Saudara Amerika. Ia tewas dalam tugas saat Pertempuran Gettysburg saat mempertahankan posisi Union di Cemetery Ridge melawan Pickett's Charge. Pada 2013, 150 tahun usai kematian Cushing, ia dinominasikan untuk Medal of Honor. Nominasi tersebut disepakati oleh Kongres Amerika Serikat, dan dikirim untuk ditinjau oleh Kementerian Pertahanan dan Presiden.[1][2][3]
Pada 26 Agustus 2014, Gedung Putih mengumumkan bahwa ia akan secara anumerta dianugerahi Medal of Honor, dengan Presiden Obama memimpin upacara peresmian pada 6 November 2014. Helen Bird Loring Ensign, salah seorang sepupunya, menerima medali tersebut mewakili Cushing, karena Cushing tak meninggalkan keturunan langsung.[4][5]
