Heliosentrisme Copernican adalah nama yang diberikan kepada model astronomi yang dikembangkan oleh Nicolaus Copernicus dan diterbitkan pada 1543. Model tersebut memposisikan Matahari di dekat pusat Alam Semesta, tak bergerak, dengan Bumi dan planet-planet lainnya berrotasi mengitarinya dengan kecepatan yang seragam. Model Copernican menggantikan sistem Ptolemaik yang dipegang dalam budaya Barat selama berabad-abad, yang menempatkan Bumi di pusat Alam Semesta, dan sering dianggap sebagai titik peluncuran astronomi modern dan Revolusi Saintifik.[1]
