Hilman Latief
Prof. H. Hilman Latief, M.A., Ph.D. adalah seorang dosen, peneliti, akademisi, dan ilmuwan dari Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta yang menduduki jabatan sebagai Direktur Jendral Penyelenggaraan Haji dan Umrah yang di lantik oleh Menteri Agama pada tanggal 1 Oktober 2021.[1] Pria kelahiran Tasikmalaya, 12 September 1975, tersebut menempuh pendidikan yang beragam. Ia mengenyam pendidikan menengahnya di Pondok Pesantren Darul Arqam Muhammadiyah Garut dalam jurusan Biologi.
Karir
[sunting | sunting sumber]Setelah lulus dari Pondok Pesantren Darul Arqam Muhammadiyah, Hilman Latief melanjutkan pendidikan tingginya di Jurusan Tafsir Hadis, Fakultas Ushuluddin, IAIN (UIN) Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta (selesai tahun 1999). Kemudian ia mendapatkan Beasiswa Program Pasca Sarjana (BPPS) untuk dia meraih gelar Master dari Universitas Gadjah Mada pada 2003. Atas dukungan Beasiswa Fulbright ia meraih gelar Master keduanya di bidang Studi Islam dan Perbandingan Agama pada 2005 dari Western Michigan University, Amerika Serikat.
Pada tahun 2008, ia untuk mendapatkan beasiswa dari Kementerian Luar Negeri Belanda dan menjadi PhD research fellow dalam program Training Indonesia's Young Leaders yang berbasis di Universitas Leiden di bawah asuhan Prof. N. J. G. Kaptein dan Prof. Wim Stockhof. Ia juga menjadi menjadi PhD Research fellow di ISIM (International Institute of Islam and Muslim Societies) dan gelar Doktornya diraih tahun 2012 dari Utrecht University di bawah bimbingan Prof. Martin van Bruinessen. Pada tahun 2013, ia mendapat undangan menjadi research fellow di Koninklijk Instituut voor Taal –, Land – en Volkenkunde (KITLV).
Sekembali ke tanah air, Hilman Latief menjabat sebagai Kepala Lembaga Penelitian, Publikasi dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LP3M) Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta pada 2013-2017. Kemudian diangkat sebagai Wakil Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan, Alumni dan AIK di UMY periode 2017-2021. Pada tahun 2014, Hilman Latief meraih penghargaan Alumni Achivement Award dari Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Western Michigan University (WMU), Amerika Serikat. Kiprah
[sunting | sunting sumber]Kiprahnya di bidang sosial dan keagamaan dilakukannya sejak muda. Ia sejak usia sekolah sudah tergabung sebagai aktivis Ikatan Remaja/Pelajar Muhammadiyah (IRM/IPM) dan Himpunan Mahasiswa Islam (HMI) saat di kampus. Keterlibatan dalam gerakan persyarikatan Muhammadiyah di Majelis Pendidikan Kader (MPK) PP Muhammadiyah. Kemudian, pada tahun 2015-2022 ia memimpin Lembaga Amil.Zakat Muhammadiyah (Lazismu). Pada Muktamar Muhammadiyah tahun 2022 di Surakarta, ia terpilih menjadi anggota Pleno PP Muhammadiyah, dan ditunjuk menjadi Bendahara Umum Pimpinan Pusat Muhammadiyah 2022-2027.
Inovasi
[sunting | sunting sumber]Sebagai seorang ilmuan dan praktisi dalam filantropi Islam, Hilman Latief memulai proyek perubahan berbasis kawasan di Desa Citeureup dan Winduraja, Kecamatan Kawali, Kabupaten Ciamis, Provinsi Jawa Barat melalui Indo-Philanthropy Action Lab for Sustainable Living (IPAL4SL) yang dirancang untuk sepuluh tahun ke depan (2020-2030). IPAL4SL merupakan sebuaah platform terbuka untuk menguji konsep-konsep pemberdayaan dan pengembangan masyarakat berbasis kawasan. https://cendekia-muda.id/social
