saya pernah mendengar bahwa mengapa minuman ini di sebut bir pletok , karena ketika minuman ini diberi es batu , maka terdengar bunyi pletok-pletok.

tetapi ketika saya baca bahan yang tertulis di halaman ini, tidak ada faktor yang membuat minuman ini akan berbunyi,

Tidak setuju penggabungan dengan es bir

Saya tidak setuju penggabungan dengan artikel es bir, karena dua hal. Pertama, nama bir pletok sudah khas sebagai minuman orang Betawi, sedangkan nama es bir tidak terbukti kepopulerannya di Jakarta dan sekitarnya. Kedua, belum tentu bahan-bahan yang dipakai sama.
