Literatur urang sini (merujuk kepada penduduk pribumi Seruyan) menyatakan bahwa Kjai Ngabei Djaja-Negara (EYD: Kyai Ngabei Jaya-Negara) dan Djaja-Negara (EYD: Jaya-Negara) bukanlah orang yang sama. Menurut urang sini, "Djaja-Negara" hanyalah julukan semata, bukan nama aslinya. Nama asli kedua orang ini juga tidak pernah dicatat atau diketahui, dan yang terkenal adalah nama julukannya tersebut.
