Agar lebih singkat, dan menurut KBBI, hilal juga dapat mengacu pada bulan sabit secara umum. -- Adiputra बिचर -- 19 Juli 2013 13.25 (UTC)

Saya tidak mempertentangkan penggunaan kata "hilal", karena selain sudah sudah menjadi bagian dari bahasa Indonesia, juga karena artikel ini membahas mengenai suatu daerah di kawasan timur tengah yang didominasi Bahasa Arab. Sudah banyak kata dari bahasa arab yang menjadi kata dalam bahasa Indonesia, misal kursi yang diambil dari bahasa arab kursiyun yang memiliki makna sama. Suatu saat pun istilah hilal akan umum digunakan dalam Bahasa Indonesia. Hysocc 19 Juli 2013 15.44 (UTC)
