M16 adalah senapan serbu militer yang pertama kali dibuat oleh Amerika Serikat. Senapan ini memiliki kaliber yang sama seperti AK-47, namun M16 memiliki kelemahan seperti tidak tahan air, dan tidak seakurat AK-47.

Wah sama sekali tidak akurat!

1. Senapan serbu sudah ada sejak PD II, hanya saja Jerman yang pertama menggunakannya. Saya lupa senapan serbu sekutu buatan AS atau Inggris. Tetapi Resistance Perancis mendapat pasokan senapan serbu kecil.
2. M16 memang tidak detahan banting AK47 tetapi lebih ringan dan lebih akurat! Jarak tembak efektif AK maksimal sekitar 300 meter, M16 400-500 meter, bahkan ada rekor di Irak sampai menembak jarak 800 meter yang biasanya untuk jarak ini sudah tidak menggunakan senapan serbu.
