Saat ini, Indonesia adalah produsen mi instan yang terbesar di dunia. Dalam hal konsumsi, Indonesia masih kalah dari China, di mana konsumsi mi instan mencapai 27.7 miliar hidangan per tahunnya. Indonesia sendiri mencatat angka sebesar 11.2 miliar hidangan per tahunnya.

Tapi penduduk RRC kan empat kali lipat penduduk Indonesia, jadi secara relatif berarti lebih besar konsumsinya di Indonesia. Mungkin di China lebih banyak menyajikan mie asli, maksudnya yg non-instan. Meursault2004 05:35, 1 Agustus 2005 (UTC)

Secara relatif memang jumlah Indonesia lebih besar. Dari segi produksi, jumlahnya di China lebih kecil kemungkinan karena mereka juga banyak mengimpor dari Jepang. Btw, angka di China hanya merujuk kepada mi instan (tdk termasuk mi asli). Hayabusa future ^(bicara) 07:14, 1 Agustus 2005 (UTC)
