Edward Phillips Oppenheim (22 Oktober 1866 – 3 Februari 1946) adalah novelis Inggris yang sukses menjadi penulis genre fiksi sepanjang hidupnya.

Kehidupan

Sebagai putra seorang pedagang kulit, Oppenheim lahir tanggal 22 Oktober 1866 di Leicester dan bekerja di pabrik ayahnya selama hampir 20 tahun. Ia bersekolah di Wyggeston Grammar School. Pada tahun 1892, ia menikahi Elise Clara Hopkins. Mereka tinggal di Evington, Leicestershire sampai Perang Dunia Pertama dan dikaruniai seorang putri. Selama perang berlangsung, ia bekerja untuk Kementerian Informasi. Kesuksesannya di dunia sastra memungkinkan ia membeli villa di Prancis beserta kapal pesiar dan sebuah rumah di Guernsey, tetapi kehilangan akses ke sana saat Perang Dunia Kedua pecah.
