William Paul Thurston (30 Oktober 1946 – 21 Agustus 2012) adalah seorang matematikawan Amerika Serikat. Ia adalah pionir bidang topologi dimensi rendah. Pada 1982, ia dianugerahi Fields Medal. Dari 2003 sampai kematiannya, ia menjadi profesor matematika dan ilmu komputer di Cornell University.
